East Fiber Extension <br /> Elk River, Minnesota <br />Inspect: The act of observing, checking, or verifying that materials provided or Work furnished <br />under this Contract comply with the general intent of the project Contract documents. <br />Install: Placing, erecting, or constructing complete in place any item, equipment, or material. <br />Provide: Furnish and install, complete in place. <br />Punch List: List of incomplete items of Work and of items of Work which are not in conformance <br />with the Contract. The list will be prepared by the Engineer’s representative when the Contractor <br />(1) notifies the Engineer’s representative in writing that the Work has been completed in accordance <br />with the contract and (2) requests in writing that the Owner accept the Work. <br /> <br />Shall: Refers to actions by either the Contractor or the Owner and means that Contractor or Owner <br />has entered into a covenant with the other party to do or perform the action. <br />Submittals: The information that is specified for submission to the Engineer in accordance with <br />Division 1 of the Project Manual. <br />2. Additional Instructions and Detail Drawings <br />Replace Section 2.1 with the following: <br />2.1 The Owner shall furnish to the Contractor six copies of the Contract Documents. <br />Additional quantities of the Contract Documents will be furnished at reproduction cost. <br />10. Surveys, Permits, Regulations <br />Add the following section to Article 10: <br />10.4 The Contractor shall obtain all necessary federal, state, and local permits required for any <br />dewatering and stormwater discharges necessary during construction. The Contractor shall also <br />provide all monitoring and test reporting relating to the discharges. <br />12. Supervision by Contractor <br />Add the following section to Article 12: <br />12.2 Contractor shall maintain a qualified and responsible person available 24 hours per day, <br />seven days per week to respond to emergencies which may occur after hours. Contractor shall <br />provide to Engineer the phone number and/or paging service of this individual. <br />15.
