We accept the alternates A1 - the Johnson <br />Tower lateral = $42,465.00, A2 - the Auburn Tower lateral = $26040.00, A3 – connection to wells 7,8,9 = <br />$79,444.00, A4 – Trott Brook Park lateral = $5,250.00, A5 – Hillside Park lateral = $11,872.00. We are rejecting <br />the alternate A6 – deduct to 96 strands as it is not cost-beneficial. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />The City of Elk River, Elk River Municipal Utilities, and the School District 728 are in partnership to create a fiber <br />loop extension to help connect to resources on the east side of Hwy 169. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />rds rd, <br />The city will pay 2/3of the cost at $403,724.83 of the base bid. ERMU will pay for the other 1/3 and the <br />school district will buy from us the strands that they need.
