UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Tony Mauren – Governance & Communications Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />September 12, 2023 6.1d <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />In September, residential electriccustomers will receivethe attached Wi-FiThermostat <br />Rebate flyer, while all customers will receive information about the Cold Weather Rule. <br />In addition tohighlighting the billinserts, social media poststhis monthfeature a variety <br />of topics including multiple reminders for the open house, details on ERMU’s EV event, a <br />commission meeting notice, as well as the Labor Day closure and garbage delay. <br /> <br /> Communications and Administration departments are shifting into <br />promotion/preparations for our annual event, EV-ER: Electric Vehicles in Elk River, being <br />held on September 28 at the Elk River Farmers Market. <br /> <br /> The final campaign for our 2023 Conservation Improvement Program communications <br />plan goes into effect on September 1 and lasts the month. There will be a billboard, <br />newspaper ads, social media posts, a bill insert, a bill message, and an alert bar sharing <br />information about the Wi-Fi Thermostat Rebate program.
