Request for Action <br />To <br />Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council <br />4.10 <br />Agenda Section <br />Meeting Date <br />Prepared by <br />Consent Agenda <br />September 5, 2023 <br />Tim Dalton, FT Center Superintendent <br />Item Description <br />Reviewed by <br />Resolutions: Accept Donation from the Elk River <br />oe Stremcha, Assistant City Administrator <br />Youth Hockey Association <br />Reviewed by <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Action Requested <br />Adopt, by motion, a resolution acknowledging the contribution of rubber flooring valued at $49,641.17 to be <br />installed in the north -end of the Cornerstone Automotive and Kiser Construction Arenas at the Furniture and <br />Things Community Event Center. <br />Background/Discussion <br />The Elk River Youth Hockey Association has proposed to install rubber flooring in the north -end of the <br />Cornerstone Automotive and Kiser Construction Arenas, at the Furniture and Things Community Event Center. <br />This flooring will allow coaches and instructors to more easily access hockey and figure skating training aids and <br />equipment that are located off -ice in the north -end of the arenas. <br />The addition of rubber flooring in this area will also allow individuals wearing ice skates to easily access either ice <br />sheet from any locker room in the facility.
