Elk River Energy Commission (EREC) Update to the City Council <br /> April 17, 2023 <br /> Casey Mahon, Chair, and Verne Iverson, Vice Chair <br /> (S1) Introductions, including specifically recognizing all Commission members and <br /> newest Council representative, Cory Grupa. <br /> Thank you for allowing us to share our 1st update with you. We are proud to partner with <br /> this Council and appreciate all you do to support the EREC. <br /> We are respective of your time so are limiting this presentation to — 10". Please feel free <br /> to ask questions along the way rather than waiting until the end. <br /> Summary of current Commission history: <br /> Vem is the longest-serving Commissioner at 3 yrs. Tom, the longest member @ <br /> 11 yrs. I just completed my 2nd yr; avg current tenure is 2 yrs. <br /> (S3) There was a recognized need among the Commission to define our purpose beyond <br /> the city ordinance (Division 8, Section 2-353 and 2-354) and from this to create a <br /> clear structure to move forward. <br /> (S4) Past Accomplishments <br /> (S5) We believe our initiatives align with the City's Mission & policies.
