4889-7277-9889, v. 1
We are again asking the Planning Commission to recommend approval
of the CondiƟonal Use Permit for our property located at 10208 209th
Ave NW, Elk River MN 55330. We would like to establish a yard at our
personal shop located on our property to store various items related to
our company. We own and operate a small wireless company. Our
business office is located at 506 Freeport ST Elk River, MN . Our office
staff works at this locaƟon, and is where we hold company meeƟngs /
training. Our field employees work out of town at various cell phone
sites across the Midwest and need a place to meet before leaving for
out of site out of town.
We are trying to establish a small yard with no company signage where
some company equipment and vehicles can be parked. This would be a
secondary yard. Vehicles and equipment would typically park at the
yard over the weekend when they are not being used on a jobsite. We
have started leƫng employees drive their company trucks home during
off Ɵme to reduce the amount of employee vehicles parked here.
Yard ac Ɵvity
Industrial uses would not occur at the yard. We have some non‐
hazardous materials in the yard that employees load when preparing to
leave for a jobsite. Most site materials are supplied by our customers.
It is released, picked up by our driver and delivered to the jobsite. We
also have recycling and garbage dumpsters located outside in the
fenced yard which will be used by employees to unload garbage and
recycling items from jobsites. These dumpsters cannot be seen from the
road. I have also installed mesh cover on the dumpster to avoid
cardboard blowing. The parking yard is fenced in with a hard gravel
surface that is graded to shed water. All city noise ordinances will be
followed as to not disturb our neighbors.
