Economic Development Authority Minutes <br />May 16, 2023 <br />Page 2 <br />David Nelson, Thunderstruck owner, stated the land is a good fit for expansion of his business. <br />President Tveite closed the public hearing. <br />Moved by Commissioner Blesener and seconded by Commissioner Hartwig to adopt Resolution <br />23-02 approving a purchase agreement between the Economic Development Authority of the City <br />of Elk River and Thunderstruck Exteriors, Inc. and approving conveyance of land contained <br />therein. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />7.1 Reschedule June 19, 2023, Economic Development Meeting <br />Mr. O'Neil presented the staff report. <br />Moved by Commissioner Blesener and seconded by Commissioner Grupa to reschedule the <br />Monday, June 19 meeting to Tuesday, June 20. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />7.2 General Updates <br />Mr. O'Neil noted it's time to start working on the 2024 budget. He suggested a special worksession prior tc <br />the July EDA meeting. <br />It was consensus of the Authority to schedule a special budget worksession meeting for 4:30 p.m. on July <br />17, 2023. <br />7.3 Placer.ai Presentation <br />Mr. Mollan presented the staff report. <br />Chair Tveite noted it will be key to eventually turn data learned from Placer into something actionable. <br />8. Adjourn Regular Meeting <br />Moved by Commissioner Beyer and seconded by Commissioner Hartwig to adjourn the regular <br />meeting of the Economic Development Authority. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />The regular meeting adjourned at 5:59 p.m. President Tveite called the work session to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />P 0 1 E I E I 11 <br />NATURE <br />
