The pedestrian system could extend from Guardian Angels to the <br />Bowling Alley. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commissioners to support the previous motions passed <br />by the Park & Recreation Commission on July 16, 1997, as follows: <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DAVE ANDERSON MOVED TO REQUIRE CASH PARK DEDICATION AT <br />COMMERCIAL RATE FOR THE RETAIL PORTION OF THE ORONO SHORES PLAT, AND AT <br />THE RESIDENTIAL RATE FOR THE TOWN HOMES; AND, THAT NO PARK DEDICATION BE <br />ON THE PLAT. COMMISSIONER KUESTER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />REQUIRED FOR ASSISTED LIVING UNITS AND FUTURE ASSISTED LIVING AREA SHOWN <br />CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DAVE ANDERSON MOVED THAT THE PARK & RECREATION <br />RECOMMEND A SIDEWALK BE PLACED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF HIGHWAY 10 UP TO <br />THE elK RIVER BOWL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MASTER PARK PLAN. <br />COMMISSIONER OLSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />5.2. Windsor Woods ConceotPlan: <br /> <br /> <br />Marly Glines, developer of the project. requested the Park & Recreation <br />Commission consider park dedication requirements for the proposed Windsor <br />Woods plat. Chair Anderson indicated that since no area park has been <br />identified for this area. the Commission would recommend a cash payment to <br />meet park dedication requirements. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WESTRUM MOVED TO ACCEPT CASH AS PAYMENT OF PARK <br />DEDICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE WINDSOR WOODS PLAT. COMMISSIONER <br />KUESTER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />..... .0.... __. <br />7. Discussion "Set Meetina Dates for February <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commissioners to consider the February meeting <br />dates at the January Park & Recreation Commission meeting. <br /> <br />8. staff Uodates" <br /> <br /> <br />Phil Hals, Streets/Parks Superintendent. updated the Commission on the following <br />issues: <br /> <br />· ERY AC Fields - The fences will be completed in approximately a week to 10 <br />days. <br />· Lions Park - The portable hockey boards have been installed and the 160' x <br />62' area is ready to flood. <br />· Flooding of the ice rinks throughout the city will begin as soon as the <br />temperatures allow. <br />· The portable warming house has been installed at Hankie Stadium and is <br />expected to be ready to go next week. <br />· Country Crossing I - Clearing and brushing is currently underway to open up <br />this park area for use. <br /> <br />. <br />
