COMMISSIONER KUESTER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6- <br />O. <br /> <br />6. Discussion- Park Bond Referendum <br /> <br />Commissioner Kuester reviewed the progress of the park bond referendum <br />committee. Commissioner Kuester noted Decision Resources will attend the <br />August 14th strategy meeting. He encouraged all the Commissioners to attend <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />7. StdffUbdates <br /> <br />7.1. Cass ProDerty Fields <br /> <br />Phil indicated he expects comments from the Corps of Engineers in <br />approximately 2 weeks regarding the pond. <br /> <br />Parkina Lot and Driveway <br />Phil explained Phase I parking will hold 120 cars. Phil indicated there is room to <br />triple the parking. but there will be a significant additional cost for blacktopping. <br />Cost of the parking lot for 160 cars would be approximately $15,000. Cost for the <br />driveway is estimated at $5,000. To double the size of the parking lot would cost <br />approximately $40.000. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Infields <br />Phil requested input for dimensions of infields at the Cass property fields. Phil <br />indicated Oak Knoll has 75' bases. Chair Anderson suggested 2 field have larger <br />infields (85') temporarily for two years. When Phase II is constructed, lines could <br />be moved back down to 60' and turned over to youth softball. Chair Anderson <br />indicated he will check with the baseball and softball groups for a <br />recommendation on infield distances and backstops. Phil indicated he hopes to <br />have the information as soon as possible so seeding may begin. <br /> <br />7.2. ADA Trails <br /> <br />Phil indicated bids will be going out for ADA trails for Orono, Lions and Deerfield <br />parks. <br /> <br />8. Other Business <br /> <br />Commissioner Huberty will be applying for a Leadership Training seminar <br />sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. She will advise the Commission if she <br />is accepted and may be requesting sponsorship at that time. <br /> <br />. <br />
