<br />Park & Rec Minutes <br />10/13/95 Continued ...... <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Master Park Plan Review <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />This item was presented by Steve Rohlf, Building and Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />7:10 p.m., Rolfe Anderson arrives. <br /> <br />Staff and the Park and Recreation Commission reviewed the proposed changes to the <br />Master Park Plan suggested by staff. The following items are some of the main <br />changes to this document: <br /> <br />1. Oak Knoll Park be changed to Harris Island Park <br /> <br />2. Orono Par;kway Park be changed to City Hall Park <br /> <br />3. Shiely Park be changed to Top of the World Park <br /> <br />No motion was made on this item. <br /> <br />6. Landfill ReQuest for Fencine- Installation on Railroad Trail <br /> <br />This item was presented by Steve Rohlf. See Attachment A, attached. <br /> <br />Staff recommends fencing the areas indicated on Attachment A. Also, staff suggests <br />angling the fences, putting reflectors on the fences, and fence posts on the landfill <br />side offence #5, to hold the city harmless of liability. Mer reviewing the property, <br />staff suggests a fence be placed instead of posts. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER MADSEN MOVED TO RECOMMEND ALLOWING <br />FENCING OF THE AREAS RECOMMENDED BY STAFF. COMMISSIONER <br />TUTTLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />7. Communitv Recreation Update <br /> <br />Jeff Asfahl was not present for this item. Phil Hals will discuss this issue under staff <br />updates. <br /> <br />8. Natural and Scenic Grant Update <br /> <br />Phil Hals presented this item. Staff and City Council is requesting input on whether <br />or not to pursue this issue regarding funding. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER ROLFE ANDERSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND <br />APPROVAL TO MATCH THE $45,500 FOR THIS GRANT FROM THE PARK <br />DEDICATION FUND. COMMISSIONER DANA ANDERSON SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />9. Countv Park Plan Update <br /> <br />Chair Dave Anderson presented this item. Dave explains the progress in the County <br />Park Plan. Work will begin in November on this project with Northwest Associated <br />Consultants. <br /> <br />. <br />
