Lion's Park Improvement Proposal- Harold Gramstad

Harold Gramstad distributed handouts regarding Lion's Park landscaping. Mr.
Gramstad indicated that the landscaping will not take place until 1996. For 1995,
the Lion's Club plans to spend $25,000 for a Landscape Structure Power Scape
playground, some backstops, and tot lot playground improvements. The Lion's
Club is hoping to have approximately $25,000 per year that is generated by a pull
tab operation at Broadway Bar available for park improvements for the next
three years.

Dave Anderson expressed a concern for the need for drainage before the
landscaping and playground equipment is installed.

Commissioner Tuttle stated that she would like to see the Lion's Club get some
positive publicity for their efforts in the park.

Commissioner Dana Anderson stated that he was glad to see the Lion's Club
moving forward with plans for playgrounds, landscaping, and possible drainage
solutions.

It was the consensus of the Park and Recreation Commission that this is good
news for the Lion's Park because city forces will be working on other park projects
and not have time to do construction work in Lion's Park this year.

.
