COMMISSIONER ROLFE ANDERSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />10. Update on Water Treatment Building <br /> <br />Phil Hals presented the information on the location of the western area <br />water tower and water treatment building. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER CLETE LIPETZKY MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT <br />THE WATER TREATMENT BUILDING BE LOCATED AS NEAR THE WATER TOWER AS <br />POSSIBLE (SEE MAIER STEWART 2/19/92 FAX COPY, PAGE 2). COMMISSIONER <br />ROLFE ANDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />11. Staff Updates/Other Business <br /> <br />Phil Hals distributed a memo from Pat Klaers and it was the consensus <br />that the Park and Recreation Commission recommend another joint meeting <br />date since 3/8/93 would not allow much discussion time after the <br />regular City Council meeting. The joint City Council/Park and <br />Recreation Commission meeting agenda should include the following: <br /> <br />- Jeff Asfahl' s (728 Area Recreation) Annual Report <br />- Review 1993 Parks Capital Improvement project <br />- Implementation of the grant for Woodland Trails <br />- Discussion of terms of office for Commission members <br />- Discussion of outdoor ice facilities (per Larry Farber) <br />- Discussion on "hole in the ground" downtown site <br />- Discussion on having Park and Recreation Commission Chair attend <br />the interviews for the future Park and Recreation Commissioner <br />- Discussion on "Adopt a Park" program <br /> <br />There was discussion that the procedure for soliciting Park and <br />Recreation Commissioner applicants should be City Council decision. <br /> <br />2. Naming of Community Education fields should be a future Park <br />and Recreation agenda item. <br /> <br />11.A. Elk Park Center <br /> <br />Commissioner Rolfe Anderson requested that <br />Commission revisit their decision to ask <br />lieu of park land for the Elk Park Center. <br />was decided to add this at a future agenda. <br /> <br />the Park and Recreation <br />for park dedication funds in <br />Due to the late hour, it <br /> <br />11.B.
