<br /> <br />City of Elk River <br />City Council <br /> <br />Resolution 23-____ <br /> <br />A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Designating American <br />Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River was allocated federal Covid relief funds through the American <br />Rescue Plan Act (ARPA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, municipalities are required by law to expend such allocations before December 31, <br />2024; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council sought to expend funds for one-time purchases that <br />benefitted the community and its taxpayers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City Council designated purchases in which there was some impact due to the <br />pandemic; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following purchases and expenditures fit pandemic use for capital infrastructure, <br />broadband/fiber, vehicles, and security control systems; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the final allocations are as follows: <br /> <br />$350,000 - Wastewater Lift Station Grinder Pumps <br />$250,000 - Fieldhouse Sport Court/Hard Floor <br />$377,500 - City portion of Fiber Loop extension <br />$144,000 - 2023 Market Rate Purchase of Replacement Trucks <br />$95,000 - Citywide Security Camera Update <br />$75,000 - Citywide Door Access Hardware Controls <br />$50,000 – 2024 Market Rate Purchase of Replacement Trucks <br />$30,000 - Fiber to Elk River Library <br />$14,025 - Fire Panels, Replacing Analog Phones <br />$14,000 2023 ERMU Market Rate Replacement Trucks <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, <br />Minnesota, as follows: The priorities as shown shall be purchased with ARPA Funds. <br /> <br />th <br />Passed and adopted this 5 day of June 2023. <br /> <br /> <br /> John J.
