<br /> <br />Meeting of the Elk River City Council <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />Monday, May 22, 2023 <br /> <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor John Dietz, Councilmembers Cory Grupa, Matt Westgaard, and Jennifer Wagner <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Mike Beyer <br /> <br />Staff Present: City Administrator Calvin Portner, Assistant City Administrator Joe Stremcha, Public Safety <br />Director Justin Femrite, and City Clerk Tina Allard <br /> <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order at 6:00 <br />p.m. by Mayor Dietz. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> <br />2. American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Fund Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Portner presented some ideas for discussion as noted in the handout. Council reviewed the various <br />options for expenditures and consensus was to use ARPA funds for the following projects: <br /> <br />Cover state contract to market rate purchase of trucks scheduled for replacement $ 144,000 <br />14,000 <br /> Include Elk River Municipal Utility vehicles <br />50,000 <br /> Include 2024 vehicle purchases <br />Wastewater Treatment Lift Station Grinders 350,000 <br />City portion of the fiber loop 377,500 <br />Door Controls 75,000 <br />Security Camera Update 95,000 <br />Fire Panels 14,025 <br />Furniture and Things Community Event Center Sport Court in Field House $250,000 <br />Fiber to Library $30,000 <br />TOTAL $1,399,525 <br /> <br />3. Motion to Adjourn <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Westgaard and seconded by Councilmember Wagner to adjourn the <br />meeting of the City Council. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />___________________ <br />John J.
