_r <br />� ' 4 <br />� <br />� �� <br />} <br />��� � {�� � � <br />Enter the League of Minnesota Cities Essay Contest: If I Were Mayor for a Day ... <br />Essays can be submitted online or using the form on page two (either handwritten or typed into the fillable form), <br />should be no more than one page in length or about 125-300 words, and must answer the following question: <br />Cities provide a variety of services and programs that make our lives better, including parks & rec, <br />street maintenance, water and sewer, libraries, police, fire, and more! If you were mayor for a day, <br />what would you do to make one of the services that your city provides even better? <br />Essays must be the original work of students residing in Minnesota who are in 4th, Sth, or 6th grade as of fall 2022. <br />Three winners will be selected based on creativity, originality, ability to show a basic understanding of city services, and <br />legibility (ifhandwritten) and notified via email in early January. Each winner will receive a$100 prize. The winning essays <br />will also be published in the League's publication, Minnesota Cities magazine. <br />• Mailed entries must be postmarked by Dec. 12, 2022 to; <br />League of Minnesota Cities, ATTN: Mayor for a Day, 145 University Ave W, St. Paul, MN 55103. <br />• You may also email entries as an attachment by Dec. 12, 2022 to mayorforaday@Imc.org or submit your essay <br />at Imc.org/mayorforaday. <br />THERE IS NO COST TO ENTER.
