Award <br />The acceptance by the contracting authority of a proposal, subject to execution and approval of the <br />contract. <br />Proposal Schedule <br />A listing of contract items in the proposal form, showing quantities and units of measurement and having <br />blank spaces for insertion of proposal prices. <br />Proposer <br />An individual, firm or corporation submitting a proposal for the advertised work. <br />Calendar Day <br />Every day shown on the calendar. <br />Certified Test Report <br />A test report, provided by a manufacturer, producer or supplier of a product, indicating actual test results or <br />analysis covering elements of specification requirements for the product or workmanship and including <br />validated certification. <br />Change Order <br />A written order issued by the owner to the contractor covering permissible adjustments and minor changes <br />or corrections and rulings with respect to omissions, discrepancies or intent of the specifications, but not <br />including any extra work or other alterations that are required to be covered by supplemental agreement. <br />Cleaning Hours <br />The hours of the day that contractor may perform custodial services. <br />Contract <br />The written agreement between the city and the contractor, identifying obligations of the parties thereunder, <br />including but not limited to performance of work, furnishing of labor and materials and basis of payment. <br />Contract Items (Pay Item) <br />A specifically described unit of work for which a price is provided for in the contract. <br />Contracting Authority <br />The political subdivision governmental body, board, department, commission, or officer making the award <br />and execution of contract as the party of the first part.
