<br /> <br />c ( \~~+ <br />\\j;1\ p$' <br />~.y-ortnC\\-' ~ <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />CC: Economic Development Authority <br /> <br />FROM: Catherine Mehelich, Director of Economic Development tJtt <br /> <br />DATE: November 21, 2005 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Great River Energy Corporate Headquarters Project Update <br /> <br />Great River Energy (GRE) has requested this issue not be for public discussion this evening <br />since they are making formal announcement by way of the newspaper this Wednesday. <br /> <br />It is appropriate to notify the Council that staff was contacted by GRE today with regard to <br />last week's subcommittee and Board of Directors meeting in which a site was selected for <br />the corporate headquarters. Staff was notified that based on the Board criteria for the <br />project the Elk River Gateway Business Park site was not selected. GRE officials thanked <br />the City for its interest and for providing a site proposal. A site in downtown Maple Grove <br />was selected for the project. <br />
