<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 3, 1975 <br /> <br />Ed Dressig applied for vacating of Township Road. (Running East and West on Section Line <br />between Sections 11 and 14 of Twp 32 Range 26, as follows commencing at south quarter corner of <br />section 11 Twp 32 Range 26 running thence east on and along south line of section 11 for 345.02 ft <br />and terminating) <br /> <br />After looking over plat of section it was determined that road as described would take in a very small <br />piece of Twp R/W on new road. Mr. Dressig was instructed to abstain. A new legal description <br />excluding that piece. Further action would be taken at that time. <br /> <br />Mr. Bray appeared to state complaint about board action on establishment of Camp Cozy Road as <br />shown on Twp R/W plat #1. Mr. Bray was informed of his legal rights of appeal. He stated that he <br />had already seen his lawyer and that suit would be brought against the board. He further stated that <br />he has an old suit against the board for past action on said road and that he intended to proceed <br />with both suits. <br /> <br />Mr. Laman asked if signs had been ordered of his corner. This will be done one 20 MPH and one <br />Blind Intersection. <br /> <br />A letter from Representative Bob McCarlton was read along with a copy of a letter he had received <br />from \[blank\] in which he complained that the Town Board would take no action in helping with his <br />water problem. <br /> <br />On motion by E Rathbun seconded by E Specht it was agreed that Frank Madsen was to call Bob <br />McCarlton and respond to charges made. Motion carried. <br /> <br />With the Big Lake Twp board in attendance a discussion was held with Laurence Kreger in regards <br />to snow removal and road maintenance work. This made necessary by the bankruptcy of Big Lake <br />Sand and Gravel. <br /> <br />After a lengthy discussion the following was agreed upon. <br />1. Laurence Kreger hired for one year <br />2. Either party may cancel with 30 days written notice <br />3. Rate of pay 22.50 per hour. <br />4. All plowing to be done with either a patrol or truck with wing. <br />5. All roads to be open by 7 A.M. if at all possible. <br />6. Sand/salt mix to be billed at cost with $22.50 hourly rate for spreading. <br /> <br />These terms being agreeable to both parties it was moved by E Rathbun and seconded by E Specht <br />to hire Laurence Kreger. Carried. <br /> <br />General Fund <br />Balance Forward 13,617.52 <br />Pd out 671.02 <br />12,946.50 <br /> <br />
