<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />MARCH 11, 1975 <br /> <br />Annual Meeting <br />Meeting called to order at 8:20 <br />Everyone was informed that the meeting was being tape recorded. <br />First order of business was selection of chairman. Frank Madsen was nominate. And elected as <br />Chairman. <br />Treasurer’s report was given <br />General Revenue Fund 16,651.93 <br />Road + Bridge Fund 2,899.25 <br />Revenue Sharing 490.16 <br /> <br />Report was approved as read. <br />The following levies were proposed: <br />Road + Bridge 20,000.00 <br />Revenue Fund 5,000.00 <br />Levies were motioned for approval by Erwin Specht and seconded by Dave Peterson. Motion <br />carried. <br />Announce was made as to meeting time + place <br />Regular monthly meeting the first Monday of the month at 8:30 in County Court house. <br />All special meeting notices are posted on bullitin \[sic\] board in Court house. <br />Motion by Dan Lucas seconded by Mike Rotz to fund joint recreation committee in the sum of <br />$2,000.00. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion made by Jerry Palmer seconded by Dick Hinkle to authorize expenditure of up to $6,000.00 <br />for legal fees for coming year, motion carried. <br /> <br />Invitation issued to any Twp resident interested in consolidation to join committee for discussion. <br /> <br />Report was given by Frank Madsen on consolidation thus far. <br /> <br />Results of Election <br />For supervisor <br />Hank Duitzman 30 <br />Everett Rathbun 63 elected <br />For Clerk <br />Wallace H Fox 85 elected <br />For Treasurer <br />Irv Moldenhauer 81 elected <br />H. Duitzman 1 <br />Ralph Brown 2 <br /> <br />The subject of gopher bounties was brough up for discussion. Most people in attendance were <br />opposed but no final action was taken. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:35 <br /> <br />
