Project Manual <br />Houlton Conservation Area Bank Stabilization — Dam Site <br />Place a layer of live cuttings over the geotextile followed by fabric encapsulated soil lifts. To <br />construct the fabric encapsulated soil lifts place rolled erosion prevention category 47 per 3885, <br />"Rolled Erosion Prevention Product," so that the edge of the blanket extends 3 feet under the lift <br />of soil then wrap the blanket up over 1 foot of compacted backfill material and across the top of <br />the backfill and trench the terminal edge 1 foot deep. Stake in the rolled erosion prevention <br />category 47 according to the manufacturers recommendation. The face of the encapsulated soil <br />lift shall be at a 2:1 slope (horizontal to vertical). Over the encapsulated soil lift place a mat of <br />native sod per 3878, "Sod." Repeat layers of encapsulated soil lifts and sod mat to create a <br />supplemental bench according to the plans. <br />5-1.3 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />The engineer will measure Toewood Benches by the linear foot, measured along the outer edge <br />of the bench along the bank full edge of the river including all necessary components and work <br />to install. <br />Division 02 SP-1 <br />Construction Specifications Special Provisions <br />
