Mrs. Ralph Barker <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by EL Specht. Charles Thompson was appointed as moderator. <br />The treasurer reported the bank balance to be about 47,000.00. Last year a levy of 15,000 was set for <br />R&B 6,000 for Revenue and non for Poor Fund. Gene Thompson moved seconded by Gordon <br />Frederecksen that the treasurers report be accepted. Motion carried. The next order of business was <br />the setting of levys for next year. Gordon Fredereksen moved seconded by John Nord that the R & <br />Bridge be set at 15M The revenue fund levy was set at 6M Motions carried for both above levys. <br />Gordon Frederecksen moved seconded by Earl Schulke that 2500.00 be set for poor fund. John <br />Oliver next gave a report of the progress in mapping the township for <br />members. The question about whether the board be authorized to negotiate for a Town site came <br />up. Gordon Fredericksen moved and seconded that the Town Board be given authority to look for <br />property. Motion carried. The next question was about fees for the Town Board. A motion was <br />made and seconded that the fees for the Town Board be raised to $16.00. Motion carried. The next <br />business was the possible annexation of the plat of Marvin George to the Village of Elk River. No <br />action was taken. <br /> <br />John Nord brought up the question of a public library. This is to be a tri-county library. No action <br />was taken. Gene Thompson brought up the question fo the Two making reimbursement for moving <br />fences.
