<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />MARCH 12, 1968 <br /> <br />The annual Township meeting was called to order. Richard Hinkle was appointed moderator. <br /> <br />The treasurer reported on conditions of the Town Board balance. It was stated that a balance <br />remained of $6,603.44 in the bank. It was moved by Everett Specht, seconded by Earl that the <br />treasurer report be accepted. Motion carried. Bal. Rev 2677.46 R&B 1934.21 Poor 1993.12. A <br />motion was made by Ernest Palmer seconded by Mel Peterson that the following amounts be levied. <br />Revenue Fund 6000.00 – Road and Bridge 15,000.00 Poor Fund 3,000.00. Motion was carried. The <br />hours for the annual meeting was discussed. A motion was made that the polls open at 10 o’clock <br />and closed at 9 P.M. the business meeting will be held at 8 P.M. Ernest Palmer made the motion <br />seconded by Erwin Specht. Motion carried. A motion was made by DR Moldenhauer that the notice <br />of election be made more times also speak to the editor about the matter. Seconded by Earl Schulke. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Erwin Specht brought up the matter of the Township enforcing their own zoning laws not let the <br />County carry the zoning laws. A motion was made by Earl Schulke seconded by E. Specht that the <br />meeting be adjourned. Motion carried so meeting was adjourned. Polls closed at 7 P.M. <br /> <br />E.V.
