Tri-CAP Energy Assistance Program <br />The Energy Assistance Program is a federally funded program. Grants are based <br />on household size, income, fuel type, and energy usage. <br />ELIGIBILITY <br />Households at or below 50% of the state median income <br />(see guidelines) <br />Tri-CAP provides energy assistance to Sherburne county residents <br />HOME IMPROVEMENT SERVICES <br />Help for utility bill payment and/or fuel delivery <br />Emergency heating system repair or replacement <br />Tri-CAP Weatherization Assistance Program <br />Provides services at no cost to the customer to reduce energy consumption <br />and eliminate health and safety concerns for eligible homeowners and renters. <br />ELIGIBILITY <br />Customers are eligible if they have not received weatherization in the last 15 years and if the total household income <br />before taxes is equal to or less than 200% of the Federal Poverty guidelines. No credit check required. <br />Tri-CAP provides weatherization services to Sherburne county residents. <br />HOME IMPROVEMENT SERVICES <br />Comprehensive energy audit Furnace clean and tune up <br />Insulation (attic and walls) Health and safety items such as smoke alarms and <br />Weather stripping carbon monoxide detectors <br />Caulking Emergency refrigerator replacement <br />City of ELk River Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program <br />The Elk River Housing and Redevelopment Authority is making financing available for homeowners to make property <br />improvements. Loan amounts are from $5,000435,000, there is no maximum income limit, and terms up to 15 years with <br />a 4% fixed interest rate. Closing costs may apply.
