Also <br />attached is an exhibit showing the properties that are represented by signatures on the <br />petition. As the City Council may be aware, the history of proposed improvements in this <br />neighborhood is very long, going back approximately 15 years. Previous City Councils have <br />looked at various options for building permanent streets and/ or extending City utilities into <br />the neighborhood. This petition is essentially asking the City Council to take another look at <br />a similar type improvement. <br /> <br />It should be noted that the City does not have all of the right-of-way needed for a street and <br />utility improvement, so part of any potential improvement project would be acquiring the <br />necessary right-of-way from those properties which have not given it to date. Attached for <br />the City Council's consideration is a resolution which declares the adequacy of the petition <br />and orders a feasibility report to analyze the extension of City utilities into the ~aples <br />Street/186th Avenue neighborhood. <br /> <br />If you have any questions regarding this issue, I will be in attendance at your ~ovember 21, <br />2005 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />Terry J.
