<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: Heritage Preservation Commission <br /> <br />FROM: Heidi Steinmetz, Assistant Director of Economic Development <br /> <br />DATE: March 6, 2007 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Downtown Redevelopment Plan Taskforce Work Plan <br /> <br /> <br />Purpose <br />The purpose of this memorandum is in response to Chair Lindberg’s request for the <br />Downtown Redevelopment Plan Taskforce’s work plan. <br /> <br />Issue <br />The work plan is not detailed because it is often refined based on Taskforce discussion and <br />information requests. Below is an overview of the work plan to date; keeping in mind that <br />the dates are subject to change depending on the Taskforce process. <br /> <br />Nov ’06 − Mar ’07 --Education process <br /> <br />April − June 2007 --Visioning process/plan development <br /> <br />July 2007 --HRA, EDA, Planning Commission, Park & Recreation <br />Commission and HPC review draft plan <br />--Community and stakeholder open house/plan review <br /> <br />August 2007 --HRA and City Council consider plan adoption followed by plan <br />implementation <br /> <br />Other Information <br />st <br />Chair Lindberg contacted me on February 21 inquiring of when the HPC could bring forth <br />their policy recommendations to the Taskforce and if the HPC could provide suggestions <br />for a heritage preservation speaker to provide a presentation to the Taskforce. I indicated to <br />Chair Lindberg that he could present the HPC recommendations at any time and that the <br />HPC is welcomed to provide me with suggestions for a speaker. Chair Lindberg stated that <br />he would discuss the issues with the HPC at tonight’s meeting. <br /> <br />The policy recommendations and suggestions for a speaker will need to be provided to me <br /> <br />
