Virgin, President, Bert Can, Trustee, and Wm Norval, Clerk <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the President at 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following bills were duly presented and ordered paid by the council <br /> <br />1807 Wm Noval salary due Oct 1 $18.75 <br />1808 J.T. Plante goods to 19.00 <br />1809 Elk River and Light Co Repairs 2.60 <br />1810 Elk River Garage Storage Fire apparatus 6.00 <br />1811 Willl Bloeker Police duties at Fire 12.00 <br />1812 Star News Printing verified Blks 8.50 <br />th <br />1813 C.A. More weighmaster salary to Oct 4 96.00 <br />$162.85 <br /> <br />In regard to Mr. L.K. Houlton’s proposition to donate a piece of ground 60x60 feet square located <br />on the north side of the service garage on quincy street to be used to build an engine or fire house <br />for the village of elk river. It was finally decided by the council to accept the proposition made by <br />th <br />L.K. Houlton on the 18 September 1919. Therefore the following resolution was passed. <br /> <br />Resolved that we the Village Council of Elk River do hereby accept the proposition made by Mr. <br />Houlton on the above date to donate to the Village the said piece of ground on Quincy Street to <br />build the said engine or fire house and that the council order represent the Village of Elk River <br />hereby offer their thanks to Mr. Houlton for his kindness in donating said parcel of ground. <br /> <br />It was moved and seconded that the President Mr. Virgin see to getting a deed of the same soon as <br />possible.
