<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 4, 1919 <br /> <br />th <br />Special meeting of the Village Council held on Thursday, Sept 4, 1919. <br /> <br />Present: J.H. Virgin, President. E.J. Keegan, Trustee. Bert Can, Trustee and Wm Norval, Clerk <br /> <br />Visiting Mr. Ch__ State Highway Engineer – <br /> <br />Meeting called to order at 8:30 p.m. by the president. <br /> <br />The Steel Bridge at the Elk River given over to the State and County by Resolution <br />Mr. H.E. Engineer of the State Highway presented a Resolution to the Council to be voted <br />upon by the said Council in regard to giving over to the State of Minn and Sherburne County the <br />old Steel Bridge over the Elk River with all timber and lumber belonging to the same as there was <br />none being constructed by the State and County of Sherburne a new concrete bridge to replace the <br />old structure as shown by the Resolution now before the council and filed in the office of the village <br />th <br />clerk this 4 day of Sept 1919. <br /> <br />Moved by Trustee Keegan and seconded by J.H. Vinjin that the said resolution be accepted and that <br />the same be filed with the Village Records, all voting aye: the same was declined carried by the <br />President. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and ordered paid by the council. <br /> <br />1791 League of Municipalities dues to Sept 1920 $10.00 <br />1795 Daily News of Mpls pub notice for bids $6.60 <br />1793 Walter S Booth and son books $13.00 <br />1794 W.S. Nott and Co Bill file buckets $7.50 <br />1796 E.N. Daly Co Nails, Bridge .90 <br />1792 F.N. Covey. 21 ½ dump as weightmaster $5.00 $107.50 <br />$145.50 <br /> <br />On motion of the President and council that F.N. Covey be allowed the sum of Five ($5.00) per day <br />as weightmaster until further orders. Nothing further, Council adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
