Taxes <br />Add the following section to Article 31: <br />31.2 The tax codes of the State of Minnesota require the Contractor to pay Sales or Use Tax on <br />material used in the construction. All Contractors shall prepare and require their Subcontractors to <br />prepare, sign and acknowledge before a Notary Public, Department of Revenue Forms listing their <br />respective expenditures for all materials that become an integral part of the completed project; the <br />purchase price, the amount of Sales or Use Tax paid, the names of the material suppliers, and all other <br />information required to complete said forms. All Contractors shall file with the Owner executed <br />copies of these forms covering all material incorporated by them or their Subcontractors. Receipt of <br />said executed forms by the Owner shall be a prerequisite to final payment of retained percentages of <br />contract price to the Contractor. <br />End of Section <br />General Conditions 00800 - 26 <br />
