A <br />library is a central component of any town and thus a position on <br />the board serving as a representative of the people in our town <br />would be something I am excited about and willing to do so that <br />all can have positive experiences with our library, especially <br />since it has given so much to our family. <br />I was Co-PTO chair at Twin Lakes Elementary for 2 years, I <br />What skills, training, <br />served for 2 years as the Registration person for Elk River Youth <br />and experience would <br />Lacrosse, was Secretary for the Elks High School Football <br />you bring to the <br />(Quarterback Club) for 2 years, was Vice-President for one year <br />commission for which <br />and then President for one year for the Elks Girls Lacrosse High <br />you seek appointment? <br />School team. In addition, I have volunteered many hours with <br />Thumbs Up Organization and we financially support Community <br />Table. These are all organizations here in Elk River/Sherburne <br />County. In addition, I worked for over 10 years in ISD 728 as a <br />Title Assistant (Reading Intervention) working with children and <br />families in our community. All of these positions required me to <br />have decision-making capabilities within a set budget, excellent <br />communication skills (verbal and written), time management and <br />scheduling knowledge, flexibility, negotiation and people skills. I <br />would be honored to be selected as a participant on the Library <br />Board.
