<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 31, 1921 <br /> <br />Special meeting of the Village Council held in the office of the Elk River Lumber Co March 31, <br />1921. <br /> <br />Members present J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Carr, D.W. Longfellow, Trustees, and M.P. Williams <br />Clerk <br /> <br />The matter was brought up regarding the village sewer which now is causing trouble to property <br />owners. <br /> <br />nd <br />Motion made by Chas Selhauer and 2 by D.W. Longfellow that a petition be drawn up to be signed <br />by property owners if they desire to have a sewer and said cost of sewer to be taxed by assessing <br />property holders along sewer. Said sewer to follow old sewer. <br /> <br />Motion accepted and passed by the council. <br /> <br />Mr. L.D. Bailey was present as a visitor. <br /> <br />Mr. L.D. Bailey presented to the council a petition for sidewalk on Minnesota Street running north <br />and south. <br /> <br />Motion made by Chas Selhauer that the petition presented by L.D. Bailey be laid on the table until <br />next meeting. Motion seconded by Bert Carr. <br /> <br />Motion accepted and passed by the council. <br /> <br />Motion made by Chas Selhauer that bids be taken by the Road Committee for grading on Minnesota <br />Street such street to have a grounded surface. Motion seconded by Bert Carr. <br /> <br />Motion accepted and passed by the Council. <br /> <br />Motion to adjourn. Motion accepted. <br /> <br />M.P. Williams Clerk <br />
