Is acting manager in the absence of the Ice Arena Manager. <br /> <br />Essential Functions <br />1. Assists in the day-to-day operations of the Ice Arena. <br />A. Maintains receipts of ticket sales, skate sharpening and any other Ice Arena sales to <br />assure an accurate accounting of cash received. <br />B. Supervises other personnel to maintain arena effectiveness. <br />C. Carries out and enforces Ice Arena policies and practices. <br />D. Insures that safety and security measures are enforced. <br />E. Keeps Ice Arena Manager informed of important developments that he/ she will <br />need to know to effectively manage the operation of the arena. <br />F. Performs other duties or assumes other responsibilities as apparent. <br /> <br />2. Provides maintenance functions of the Ice Arena and equipment. <br />A. Assists in maintaining ice sheet in optimum condition when the arena is open to the <br />public. <br />B. Carries out maintenance activities and preventive maintenance programs on arena <br />machinery and equipment. <br />C. Provides general maintenance of the Ice Arena and grounds to ensure a clean and <br />safe facility. <br />D. Ensures necessary repairs are made promptly. <br />E. Inspects and corrects any ice surface defects. <br />F. Identifies any maintenance problems with the ice refrigeration and resurfacing <br />equipment and notifies supervisor. <br /> <br />3. Performs equipment operations. <br />A. Operates Ice Arena refrigeration equipment. <br />B. Operates resurfacing equipment in a safe manner, keeping ice hours on schedule. <br /> <br />4. Provides customer service related functions. <br />A. Sharpens skates. <br />B. Supervises skating and other events held at the Arena. <br /> <br />Page 1 <br />
