<br /> <br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council 4.12 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent November 21, 2022 Lori Stich, Assistant Finance Director <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Resolutions Levying Special Assessments for Lori Ziemer, Finance Director <br />Unpaid Water and Electric Utility Services <br />Reviewed by <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Adopt, by motion, resolutions levying special assessments for the following: <br /> Resolution Levying Assessment for Unpaid Water Utility Services <br /> Resolution Levying Assessment for Unpaid Electric Service <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />Section 78-43 of city ordinance authorizes the city to levy an assessment against property for any unpaid <br />water utility fees as of September 30. <br /> <br />Section 78-332 of the city ordinance authorizes the city to levy an assessment against property for an <br />unpaid electric service fees 30 days past due. <br /> <br />All property owners who had delinquent utility fees have received notice informing them that they would <br />be assessed unless the account was brought current. <br /> <br />Attached are the assessment lists of properties with delinquent utilities: Water - $1,311.80 and Electric - <br />$4,103.01.
