Heritage Preservation Commission Meeting <br />Elk River City Hall <br />July 21, 2022 <br />5.2 Orono Cemetery <br /> <br />Mr. Carlton stated that the group operating the Orono Cemetery may require <br />assistance in continuing operations of the cemetery. Mr. Carlton asked the <br />Commission if they knew of anyone with a personal connection to the operation and <br />suggested they reach out if interested in providing assistance to or serving on the <br />cemetery board. <br /> <br />5.3 HPC Booth at the Farmer’s Market <br /> <br />Mr. Carlton stated that the Commission is all set for August 25th at the Farmer’s <br />Market. The Commission will have a space for a booth where they can solicit <br />historical information that residents may want to share. The Commission also <br />discussed what should be available at the booth. Commissioner Mauren suggested <br />printing out copies of preview historical articles that the Commission has completed. <br />Commissioner Griffiths stated that a preview of his documentary will be available for <br />viewing during the market. <br /> <br />5.4 Additional Projects and Updates <br /> <br />The Commission discussed additional candidates for oral interviews. <br /> <br /> <br />6.
