Action Requested <br />To <br />Item Number <br />Mayor and Council <br />8.5 <br />Agenda Section <br />Meeting Date <br />Prepared by <br />General Business <br />October 17, 2022 <br />Tim Dalton, FT Center Superintendent <br />Item Description <br />Reviewed by <br />Elk River Figure Skating Club Ice Contract <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />2022-2023 <br />Reviewed by <br />Action Requested <br />Approve by motion, 2022-2023 ERFSC Ice Contract. <br />Background/Discussion <br />On October 10, 2022, the Multipurpose Facility Advisory Commission (MPFAC) reviewed and recommended <br />approval of the ERFSC Ice contract. <br />The MPFAC approved an ice rate of $240 at their September meeting with an opportunity for users to request a <br />discounted rate at a spring meeting. <br />Staff and ERFSC negotiated, a one-year (2022-23) contract with a with a prime ice rate of $220 per hour and off- <br />peak ice rate of $175 per hour. The agreement includes use of limited space in the facility for board meetings, <br />small off -ice training sessions, and event use at no cost.
