UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
TO:FROM:
ERMU Commission Chris Kerzman –Engineering Manager
MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER:
October 11, 20225.7
SUBJECT:
Field Services Facility Expansion ProjectUpdate
ACTION REQUESTED:
None
DISCUSSION:
During concrete repair work occurring the week of September 12, ERMU was made aware that
there were portions of the rebar that were not at specified locations within the slab. RJM
Construction contracted a third-party scanning company to verify both slab depth and rebar
location through the entire lower level of the facility. ERMU staff has been working with RJM,
Kodet Architectural Group, and Kodet’s structural engineering consultant to fully understand
the situation. There will be a verbal update on our plan to move forward at the meeting.

Furniture has been installed in the offices and cubicle areas, carpet has been installed, and
landscaping has been completed for the north portion of the site. Kodet is planning to complete
a punch list walkthrough on October 14 and will have their engineering consultanton site the
same day. The garage flooring concerns are impacting our ability to accurately schedule
removal of the remainder of our equipment and materials from the old pole barn, and we are
working with RJM to understand the extent of the floor concerns and impact before doing so.
RJM is finalizing a few items that will have an impact on the Certificate of Occupancy, including
some railing lead time issues, communication issues, and minor code compliance items. ERMU
staff believes that if the flooring concerns are understood, the remainder of the issues can be
handled quickly.
______________________________________________________________________________
Page 1 of 1
93
