______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> <br />TO: <br />ERMU Commission <br />FROM: <br />Sara Youngs – Customer Service Manager <br />MEETING DATE: <br />September 13, 2022 <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />6.1d <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Office walk-in traffic for August consisted of 109 customers, averaging 22 customers per <br />week over the five-week period. <br /> <br />• ERMU disconnects for August – as of September 7– consisted of: <br />o Cycle 2 – 7 disconnects and 1 red tag (medical) <br />o Cycle 3 – 20 disconnects <br />o Cycle 4 – 9 disconnects <br />o Cycle 1 – 25 disconnects <br />o Cycle 2 – 13 disconnects <br />• Three residential homes remain disconnected from August. <br /> <br />• HydroCorp mailed final notices to the 39 residents who have not scheduled their free <br />backflow prevention test, residents have until September 16 to avoid potential <br />disconnection of water service or fine. <br /> <br />• The August Clean Energy Choice campaign saw 14 customers added with 1 customer <br />upgrading from 75% to 100%. <br />o 100% Clean Energy - 10 <br />o 75% Clean Energy - 2 <br />o 50% Clean Energy – 3 <br /> <br />• Minnesota Department of Commerce Energy Assistance Program (EAP) notified utilities <br />that due to the availability of funding they were sending them a file of households <br />approved for the EAP program this year. The utilities needed to complete and send back <br />the file with the approved households past due balances. Payments for the household <br />arrears paydown will start the week of September 13, 2022. <br /> <br />106
