RESOLUTION No. 22-11 <br /> <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br />RECOGNIZING CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK, OCTOBER 3-7, 2022 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Elk River Municipal Utilities (ERMU) provides electric and water utility <br />services within the City of Elk River, the City of Otsego, the City of Dayton, and Big Lake <br />Township; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the ERMU mission statement specifies: “To provide our customers with safe, <br />reliable, cost effective and quality long term electric and water utility service. To <br />communicate and educate our customers in the use of utility services, programs, <br />policies, and future plans. These products and services will be provided in an <br />environmentally and financially responsible manner”; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, providing excellent customer service is an essential component of <br />successfully operating in accordance with the ERMU mission statement and an <br />expectation of our customers; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that ERMU will continue to work to bring lower- <br />cost, safe, reliable electricity and water services to community homes and businesses <br />just as it has since the utility was created; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ERMU will encourage their employees to take initiative <br />and continue to provide new and more efficient ways of providing excellent customer <br />service; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the week of October 3-7 be designated Customer Service <br />Week in order to honor ERMU and its staff for the continued commitment to providing <br />excellent customer service. <br /> <br />This Resolution Passed and Adopted this 13th day of September, 2022. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> John J.
