The Highwayr169 foYce main is a priorityr since we will
need to isolate this line in 2023 for planned modifications as paYt of the 969 Bedefine pYoject. Due to the laYge pipe
diameter, there is on1yT one manufacturer of the valve required and veryT limited companies who can complete the
installation. Brenteson Companies will act as our general contractor for the excavation with the support of
Municipal Pipe Services who will cut in the new valve.
The valves on the other tvo foYce mains feeding the plant will be added to the CIP to complete next year.
Financial Impact
The cost of the valve installation is $50,930.00 and will come from our Trunk UtilityT Fund.
Mission/Policy/Goal
Meet changing needs - Agile
Attachments
■ Brenteson Quotation
The Elk River Vision
A 2aelcolning conlnunity 2aith T evolutiona y and spizzted T esou cefulness, exceptional
sevice, and colnnunity engagelnent that encouages and insiz•es pTopezty.
rowEREo ar
I'1
Upiited.• August 2020
