<br /> <br />*Item 3.4.* <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Lori Johnson, Finance and Administrative Services Director <br /> <br />DATE: October I 7, 2005 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Consider Resolution Levying Special Assessments for Unpaid Garbage <br />Collection Service <br /> <br />Resolution Adoptinf and Levyinf Assessments for Unpaid Garbafe Collection Services <br />Each year the city assesses property owners who have unpaid garbage bills as of September 1. All <br />property owners who had delinquent garbage bills as of that date received a notice informing them <br />that they would be assessed and a penalty applied unless the account was brought current. Attached <br />is a list of property owners who have not yet paid their delinquent garbage bill. The total amount to <br />be assessed is $7,689.37. The total assessed in 2004 was $5,648.08. <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />The City Council is asked to approve the attached resolution adopting and levying assessments for <br />unpaid garbage collection services as of September 1, 2005. <br />
