<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Proclamation <br /> <br />Designating July 5, 2022, as <br /> Elk River-St. Michael-Albertville Boys’ Volleyball Day <br />in the City of Elk River <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Elk River-St. Michael-Albertville Boys’ High School Volleyball Team finished <br />their regular season with just one loss; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Elk River-St. Michael-Albertville Boys’ Volleyball Team went into the state <br />tournament seeded eighth of sixteen teams; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the team bested the top-seeded Rogers High School Royals in their quarterfinal <br />match; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, they advanced to the championship match to avenge their only loss of the season to <br />the second seed Champlin Park High School Rebels; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after a hard fought four-set battle, the Elk River-St. Michael-Albertville Boys’ <br />Volleyball Team was crowned State Champions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the team showed tremendous sportsmanship and class on and off the court; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the team brought tremendous community pride and a very positive image for the <br />City of Elk River, St. Michael, and Albertville; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, John J. Dietz, Mayor of Elk River, do <br />hereby proclaim Tuesday, July 5, 2022, as Elk River-St. Michael-Albertville Boys’ Volleyball Day in <br />the City of Elk River. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> John J.
