T`vo candidates withdrew because theyT `vere <br />hired elsewhere. We interviewed 11 and moved four on to have an interview with Chief Nierenhausen. Chief <br />Nierenhausen moved three on to the background phase `vhere one `vithdre`v. The other two successfullyT <br />completed the background, phyTsical, and psyTchological testing. <br />Dakota Schafer holds a bachelor's degree in police science, an associate degree in `vildland and `vildlife la`v <br />enforcement, has completed ranger training academyT for seasonal park law enforcement, and holds a current <br />POST License. He `vorked for Premier SecurityT in Rochester for t�vo yTears, a detention deputyT and a transport <br />officer for Winona CountyT for a yTear and a half and has been working for Olmsted CountyT as a detention deputyT <br />since NovembeY 2020. <br />Mr. Schafer `vill start at payT step 1 of the union contract.
