The <br />ERX facility is truly one of the best off -road facilities in the country and we love being able visit <br />Minnesota and to race there. This facility is one that not only the entire Elk River community <br />can take pride in, but the entire state of Minnesota. ERX not only helps to provide a substantial <br />positive impact to the local businesses and economies, but it also provides an incredible facility <br />that hosts many different types of events throughout the year; allowing many different people <br />to participate in different activities that they enjoy. There are very few facilities left in the <br />country that serve such a wide spectrum of the population. <br />Each year my family travels thousands of miles to help me participate in just a single weekend <br />of racing there because it is such an incredible facility led by an incredible family — putting on <br />family events. Off Road racing is truly a family event and it would be a shame to see this end. <br />can tell you first hand that at each race during the driver's meetings the Carlson family speaks <br />very highly and respectful of the surrounding community. Each year they implement and <br />enforce rules intended to minimize the noise and reduce traffic onto the surrounding <br />properties. They care. <br />In closing, I would implore you to please consider allowing ERX to remain in operation and work <br />together with them to continue to minimize any concerns that the surrounding community has. <br />Michael Hester <br />
