7.2c
From: kevin skalicky <
Sent: Monday, May 16, 2022 2:27 PM
To: Portner, Cal <Cpgrtn_ r( EIklF iverlMNegov_>; Leeseberg, Chris <CILe s _ r,,@ElkRiverMN. ov>;
hgoodin()envisioncomgany.com
Subject: PUBLIC COMMENT
To whom it may concern,
I wanted to take a moment and comment on the continued operational viability of ERX motor park in Elk
River. Having grown up in Elk River, gone through the K-12 school system, and now raising my own
family in this community, ERX is exactly what was missing when I was younger. I'm so grateful to have
ERX and the variety of outdoor -focused events that they host be so conveniently located. The many
events we have attended there have always been family friendly, respectful, patriotic, and entertaining.
The consistent community of people that attend these events are equally cordial and steward this
amazing resource with the respect it deserves. The charity and fundraising opportunities that they host
go way beyond what we have experienced before locally.
Upon hearing that there could be limitations or cancellations of certain events that could ultimately lead
to us losing such a coveted event location, I was deeply troubled and disappointed that some members
of our community would even consider taking such a senseless step back in the growth of our area.
I support ERX, Carlson Motorsports, and all of their kind/generous staff that allow these events to take
place. I hope we never lose what is hands down the most beneficial, and positively impactful addition to
our community in the last 15 years.
Best regards,
Kevin Skalicky
