I'm from the Twin Cities originally, but have currently <br />resided in Indianapolis for a number of years. I have not missed a single Off -Road National since they <br />began in 2016. 1 make the 18 hour round-trip multiple times per year to attend their events. In doing so, <br />I am patronizing local restaurants, hotels, and shops. I know for a fact that I am not the only "ERX <br />regular" who travels great distances. (Racers, families and fans from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Japan, <br />South Africa, Canada, etc.) The economic impact that ERX provides should not be overlooked. I <br />encourage anyone reading this to reference the studies that have been conducted. <br />I work in the motorsports industry and attend hundreds of events annually across the US, Canada, and <br />New Zealand and spanning many different racing disciplines. You would be hard pressed to find another <br />family -oriented facility such as ERX. When my family is there, I know that we can expect a world -class <br />experience with entertainment for all ages at any of their events. They always have the best and <br />cleanest facility for their fans with top-notch security and customer service to assist their attendees. <br />Truly world class. <br />Beyond their offerings as an events facility, they have always had a hand in hosting charitable events <br />and giving back to the community. (Feed My Starving Children, Day Of The Dozers, Livin' Music Festival, <br />and other misc. philanthropy.) <br />This isn't just a race track. It's a year-round attraction that has rightfully earned its world-wide <br />recognition. Elk River and the surrounding community should be proud to be the home of an attraction <br />like ERX. Please strongly consider the big picture of what ERX brings to the table, and what the city <br />would lose if the facility were to cease operations. <br />Thank you for your consideration.
