Board of Adjustments Minutes Page 2 <br />March 22, 2022 <br />Commissioner Rydberg asked if staff had received any comments regarding this <br />request. <br />Mr. Carlton indicated he received a letter in support from an adjacent property <br />owner and has not received any additional comments. <br />Moved by Commissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Rydberg <br />to approve the request by Steve Hickman for a Variance allowing additional <br />outdoor product display areas for the property located at 9875 US Highway 10 <br />for the following reasons: <br />1. The general purpose and intent of the ordinance are met. <br />2. The property has a land use of Residential, and the use is consistent <br />with the Comprehensive Plan. <br />3. The proposed use is reasonable and is permitted in the zoning <br />ordinance. <br />4. The plight of the petitioner is due to circumstances unique to the <br />property not a consequence of the petitioner's own action or <br />inaction. <br />5. The variance will not alter the essential character of the locality. <br />and with the following condition: <br />1. The outdoor display area limit shall not exceed 42% of the parcel <br />area. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />Any appeals to this variance approval need to be turned in by April 1, 2022, to be <br />reviewed at the Monday, April 18, 2022, City Council meeting. <br />6.
