<br />Item # 6.3. <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: Mayor & City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Gary Leirmoe, WWTP Chief Operater <br /> <br />DATE: September 20,2005 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Replacement of WWTP Tractor <br /> <br />The Elk River Wastewater Department recently sold the Bio-Solids Land <br />Application Equipment at a City Auction.The Bio-Solids will be applied <br />By a private firm.The only change is they will use their application <br />Equipment, rather than ours.This is a more practical way of land <br />Applying the Bio-Solids.The tractor sold was a 1996 8770, New Holland. <br />While this tractor was used for other jobs around the treatment facility, <br />It was to large to get into tight places.l am requesting permission to <br />A 2005 Kubota L5030 HSTC, with a front loader & forks.This is a much <br />Smaller tractor and would be more practical around the Treatment Facility <br />But still large enough to lift any heavy piece of equipment.This would be <br />Purchased with funds from the sale of the New Holland. <br />
