<br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />April 26, 1983 <br />Page Six <br /> <br />Commissioner Tralle statEdhe felt Mr. Wadekamper had adequately met the five <br />standards needed for a variance. <br /> <br />Chairman Tracy indicated that he would like to include a requirement in the var- <br />iance which would restrict animal use of the building. <br /> <br />Rick Breezee indicated he had talked with Mr. Wadekamper and that Mr. Wadekamper <br />indicated that none of the neighbors were against the request. <br /> <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER TRALLE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER HARTMAN, TO RECOMMEND TO <br />THE CITY COUNCIL THAT THE VARIANCE-~' REQUEST BY MR. JULIAS WADEKAMPER BE APPROVED <br />WITH THE STIPULATION THAT THE BUILDING BE USED FOR THE PACKING AND SHIPPING OF <br />BULBS AND PLANTS AND FOR STORAGE. THE MOTION PASSED 6-0. <br /> <br />9. Variance Request by Mr. Ronald Walz <br /> <br />Mr. Ronald Walz was present for this request. Two of Mr. Walz's neighbors were also <br />present. <br /> <br />Mr. Walz indicated that he was requesting a variance to build a pole barn about <br />375 feet from the neighbors to the west. <br /> <br />Commissioner Pearce asked Mr. Walz what his barn would be used for. Mr. Walz indi- <br />cated it would be used for storing agricultural products and equipment and also for <br />a workshop. Mr. Walz further indicated that his neighbors have no objections. His <br />two neighbors present stated they did not object to the pole building. <br /> <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER TRALLE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER WILLE, TO RECOMMEND TO THE <br />CITY' COUNCIL APPROVAL OF THE VARIANCE REQUEST BY MR. RON WALZ, WITH THE STIPULATION <br />mAT mE BUILDING BE USED FOR CROP AND EQUIPMENT STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE ONLY. THE <br />MOTION PASSED 6-0. <br /> <br />8. Variance Request by Mr. Richard Hinkle <br /> <br />Mr. Hinkle was present for this request. Mr. Hinkle indi~ated that he is requesting <br />a variance to construct a metal skinned building. He further indicated that the <br />building would be used to store equipment, and his airplane. Mr. Hinkle showed the <br />Commissioners a picture of his property and explained where the building would go. <br /> <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER PEARCE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER TRALLE, TO RECOMMEND TO THE <br />CITY COUNCIL mAT THE VARIANCE REQUEST BY MR. RICHARD HINKLE BE APPROVED AND THAT THE <br />BUILDING BE USED FOR EQUIPMENT STORAGE AND NO LIVESTOCK BE PERMITTED. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 6-0. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Variance Request by Mr. Tony Mikol~ <br /> <br />Mr. Mikols was present for this request. Mr. Mikols is requesting a variance to in- <br />stall a drainfield which will encroach into the requested 75' setback that the DNR <br />requires. <br />
