4. Performs light dut�r grounds maintenance. <br />A. Clears snow from parking lots, sidewalks, and entrance areas of cit�T facilities. <br />B. Assists in coordinating and performing summer turf and landscaping maintenance <br />and upkeep. <br />5. PeYfoYms otheY essential job duties. <br />A. Regular and timelyT work attendance. <br />B. Follo�vs all safety procedures. <br />C. Participates in safetyT training and provides safetyT training for staff. <br />D. Maintains SDS records for applicable products. <br />E. Coordinates and performs set-ups for meetings (tables, chairs, etc.). <br />F. Assists in developing and managing the facilities maintenance budget. <br />G. Assists the emergencyT management director with maintenance on earlyT `varning <br />sirens. <br />Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities <br />❑ Kno`vledge of and experience in the practices, procedures, equipment, chemicals and <br />materials used in building maintenance Kriowledge of basic maintenance work (including <br />carpentryT, diesel powered standby generators, plumbing, electrical and heating syTstems). <br />❑ Kno`vledge of basic computer functions and computerized climatic control s�Tstem. <br />❑ Skilled in the safe operation of hand and power tools and building maintenance equipment. <br />Requires the ability- to wear and use all safenT equipment as necessary-. <br />❑ Skilled in the safe operation of motorized equipment. <br />❑ Abilit�J to work independently and prioritize duties. <br />❑ Ability to establish and maintain effective `vorking relationships with co`vorkers, vendors <br />and the public. <br />❑ Ability to read, understand, and follo`v written and oral instructions, including safetyT rules. <br />❑ Ability to comprehend, calculate, problems solve, and consult relevant sources and manuals. <br />❑ AbilityT to lift and carryT heavy objects, climb, crawl, stand, bend, reach, and manipulate <br />objects and equipment requiring manual dexterityT as needed to perform duties. <br />❑ AbilityT to perform strenuous phyTsical labor under adverse environmental conditions. <br />❑ AbilityT to supervise employTees. <br />❑ AbilityT to lift 50 pounds. <br />Minimum Qualifications <br />❑ High school diploma or equivalent. <br />❑ Valid driver's license and good driving record. <br />❑ State of Minnesota Special Boiler's license or ability to obtain `vithin 60 dayTs of hire. <br />❑ Basic computer skills. <br />❑ Three yTears of building maintenance and cleaning experience. <br />❑ One year of supervisoryr experience (diYect supervision, team/shift lead, or directing and <br />overseeing work assignments to other staf�. <br />Preferred Qualifications <br />❑ Class B Commercial Driver's License. <br />❑ Current State of iVlinnesota Boiler's license above minimum required. <br />❑ Computer based HVAC control system experience. <br />Page 2 <br />Assistant Facilities Maintenace Superintendent Final Draft <br />
