Fischer explained the Business Registration Program `vhich <br />�vould help the city kno�v �vhat businesses are operating within cityT limits. This would not <br />be a permit oY license and would be free to business owneYs. <br />Benefits of a Business Registration ProgYam include accessing infoYmation in an emeYgencyr <br />call as well as a��areness of any hazardous materials on site. <br />Council questioned �vhyT businesses don't alreadyT update their information �vith the fire <br />department, �vho `vould keep the database current, and if businesses would be resistant to <br />registering.
