There being no comments <br />Chairman Wilson closed the public <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER TEMPLE MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT THE <br />REQUEST rOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR TEMPORARY TRAVEL TRAILER BE <br />GRANTED rOR A SIX MONTH PERIOD WITH THE CONDITION THAT AFTER 6 MONTHS THE <br />TRAILER IS UNHOOKED FROM THE SEPTIC SYSTEM. COMMISSIONER BARRETT <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />12. Conditional Use Permit by Mark Zeiska/Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mark Zeiska of 19424 Irving Circle, Elk River, was present to request a <br />conditional use permit to allow enclosed light manufacturing with related <br />sales operations in a C-3A/Highway Commercial zoned district. <br /> <br />The property affected is legally described as all that part of the SW1/4 <br />of the SW1/4 of Section 2, Township 33, Range 26, Sherburne County, MN. <br /> <br />Mr. Zeiska currently reupholsters and trims cars, both which can be <br />interpreted at auto repair which is a principal use in a C-3A zone. The <br />conditional use permit would be for assembling and upholstering of <br />furniture. A question was raised regarding the type of furniture and <br />Zieska stated he does only custom built jobs for designers. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission questioned Mr. Zieska on the building and the <br />parking situation. Zieska explained his plans for the building and <br />stated that parking meets the requirements but would be hard to expand <br />due to space. Signage, lighting, and landscaping were also discussed. <br /> <br />Chairman Wilson opened the public hearing. There being no comments, <br />Chairman Wilson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER BARRETT MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF A <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW ENCLOSED LIGHT <br />MANUFACTURING WITH RELATED SALES OPERATIONS IN A C-3A/HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL <br />ZONE BY MARK ZIESKA ON THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br /> <br />1. A 1200 GALLON SEPTIC TANK AND 600 SQUARE FEET OF DRAINFIELD BE <br />INSTALLED. <br /> <br />2. MAXIMUM OF 40% LOT COVERAGE IN BUILDINGS AND A MINIMUM OF 20% <br />GREEN AREA BE MAINTAINED. <br /> <br />3. SCREENING OF THE GARBAGE DUMPSTER LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF <br />THE LOT. <br />
